    Here's some info for those people in english speaking regions who are considering this blu ray.

    -the disc is region free and the movie plays fine in my Panasonic Region A player (DMP-BDT220) (I haven't checked to see if the extras play, though, or indeed if there ARE any extras on the disc)
    -english language track is included and sounds good
    -french subtitles are FORCED (cannot be turned off) when the english language track is selected, BUT on some blu ray players you can alter the position of the subtitles... on my Panasonic, I can moved them totally off screen, so that they cannot be seen at all during playback. Very nice! Note: even when the main subtitles are "moved" offscreen a couple of subititles show up occasionally to identify english or french signs on screen: these seem to be hard encoded into the image and cannot be removed. Perhaps these subtitles are not present in the Arrow versions of this blu ray. I only saw 2 or 3 instances of this during the Wild Side blu ray, and it is not a big deal.
    -I have never seen this movie in any format before, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it looks very nice here, with lots of detail. Unlike some other people who have reviewed this Wild Side blu ray of the movie, however, I do not think that this transfer is perfect. The blacks look a little crushed to me. Also, the colors seem a little off... flesh often looks yellowish or orange-ish. Perhaps the new Arrow Steelbook version (which apparently looks similar to this one and uses the same scan as a basis for its image) fixes these problems? Overall, though, this looks great (the splashing, pouring, gushing blood looks great!) and I won't be trading for the Arrow version.
    -wow! what a great movie. This one doesn't seem to get mentioned much by Argento fans, but I loved it. It's kind of like a mix of something like The Bird With the Crystal Plumage and something like Suspiria... unlike Suspiria, there are no supernatural elements to the story, but unlike Bird or Cat O Nine Tails, the story is insane and doesn't really work as a mystery or thriller. It doesn't really matter who the killer is or what their motives are... the only thing that matters is great looking people pouring blood onto beautiful European locations. The scene where the girl is chased by the crazed doberman into the killer's basement... absolutely nuts and fantastic. A+ Très bien!

    Après s’être aventuré dans l'univers ésotérique de suspiria et inferno, dario revient avec un giallo plus violent et moderne. Si en Amérique ils ont Hitchcock. Dario Argento, est l'équivalent italien. Un chef d’œuvre.

    Je suis déçu car c'est le 2 ème Blu Ray que je renvoie. Impossible de Lire le film sur mon lecteur. Je ne vous conseille pas de vous procurer les incontournables fnac c'est impossible de lire les films. Bonne journée et bon mois saint du ramadan 😘

    Ce film a mal vieilli et les doublages sont moyens. Néanmoins le scénario est intéressant. A voir quand même. Je lui donne 2 étoiles

    beaucoup de rebondissement de gore une histoire qui tient sacrément la route
    une musique de goblin exelente

    Tenebre is my favorite Dario Argento film. I was hooked on the film when I watched it on video many years ago. This is a typical Argento film with some fantastic gory murders and set pieces. The original UK video (Videomedia I think released it) was banned as a video nasty. The French blu ray has a fantastic quality print with great picture and sound. The blu ray is also uncut and region B coded and will play on UK machines. In fact the only down side to this blu ray is the non removable French sub titles which is a tad annoying. The packaging is also in french but the film plays in English. So all in all an excellent blu ray of a fantastic Dario Agento film.
