    J avoue que je préfère de loin les vieux Star Trek avec la bande Shatner et Cie....les histoires ont été bien mieux ficelées mieux qu avec Patrick Stewart....mais c est Star Trek !!!

    Produit de qualité (coffret, jaquettes de DVD).
    Livraison dans un temps raisonnable et OK.
    Mais c'est surtout que j'avais peur que l' "import anglais" soit de mauvaise qualité pour le français ... mais en fait pas de soucis : les voix françaises sont les bonnes !!!
    Côté qualité de l'image, rien à redire c'est du bon remastering (j'ai une TV 52 pouces alors je peux en juger). Les 1ers épisodes sont bien sur un peu moins bons en qualité mais ça passe très bien.
    Je suis un peu déçu de ces 1ers épisodes car un peu de lenteur et parfois un jeu d'acteur un peu moyen .. mais ils datent quand même un peu alors passons :-)
    Les suivants sont perfects :-) et font plaisir à revoir !
    Bilan : très content de mon achat et excellent rapport Q/P. Je conseille pour ceux qui voudraient passer le pas du souvenir au "je les revois".

    Tel que décrit sur annonce/photo : ce coffret de Stardate (vaisseau Entreprise rouge sur fonds noir) contient les 10 films de Star Trek en AUDIO anglais - allemand - français de 1979 à 2002.
    Après avoir retrouvé les coffrets de la série télévisée d'origine, saisons 1-2-3, je m'étais replongée dans cet univers à l'humour canadien qu'étaient ces feuilletons des années 65-70. Hé oui, j'étais à l'époque une jeune adolescente fascinée par les oreilles de Monsieur Spok ! C'était adorablement "gnangnan" :-) ...

    Quant aux films, le premier était d'une lenteur/lourdeur à vous laisser somnolent dans le fauteuil. Le second ouvrait déjà la porte à la saga des futurs films ALLIENS. Mais le réveil se propulse dès le 3ème : cadence accélérée et effets spéciaux en nette progression; on y remarque aussi la 1ère apparition du célèbre langage primitif inversé des futurs films STAR WARS ! ... Les précurseurs sont bel et bien là.
    Au-delà de ces 10 films, 3 autres Star Trek sont sortis en 2009 - 13 - 16.

    Au travers des Star Trek séries & films des années 60 à nos jours, la découverte du monde des effets spéciaux dans un univers de science-fiction reste incontournable.

    J'ai aimé Star Trek, la série originale qui passait à la télévision quand j'étais petit, et je me souviens être allé voir le premier film. Je n'avais jamais vu les autres. C'est devenu assez désuet, mais c'est agréable de (re)voir les premiers vrais films de science-fiction, voir comment en 1966 et en 1979 on voyait le futur. Les technologies sont moins avancées parfois que ce que nous avons maintenant, mis à part le fait que nous ne pouvons pas encore voyager en warp.
    Les personnages ont vieilli et grossi par rapport à la série originale, et on leur a malheureusement changé leurs costumes. Mais les films sont plaisants. Un très bon coffret!

    Je suis pleinement satisfait du coffret Star Trek blu-ray:

    les films ont été remastérisés et on parvient à avoir une très belle image même avec les premiers films datant des années 80.
    La navigation est aisée et les bonus bien présentés et en nombre conséquent.
    De plus il y a un disque bonus sur lequel se trouve une conversation filmée entre Patrick Stewart, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy et Whoopi Goldberg ; c'est très instructif pour les fans.

    Le coffret demande un petit investissement mais comparé à l'achat de tous les films en coffrets séparés on s'y retrouve finalement.

    Au niveau audio pour les premiers films la bande-son française n'est pas disponible en dolby prologic mais en stéréo car les films sont trop vieux mais pour ma part je préfère cela que le réenregistrement de la bande-son (à l'instar du blu-ray de Superman). On peut tirer d'un bon stéréo déjà beaucoup de qualité...

    STAR TREK, on aime ou on aime pas... Et même les films contenus dans ce coffret ne sont pas tous d'une qualité équivalente. Si STAR TREK-LE FILM, STAR TREK II, IV et VI, PREMIER CONTACT sont de vraies réussites, ce n'est pas forcément le cas de STAR TREK III et V (ce dernier est terrifiant), INSURRECTION, GENERATIONS ou dans une moindre mesure NEMESIS. Les aventures de l'Entreprise se laissent voir sans aucun déplaisir mais nous sommes loin de la qualité d'un STAR WARS première trilogie...
    Les Blu-Ray sont quant à eux d'excellentes qualités, même si le film original n'est pas présenté dans sa version director's cut pourtant sorti en DVD. Dommage...

    The Star Trek movie myth has it that only the even numbered Trek films are successful. This isn't a bad rule of thumb when dissecting the rank of these movies.

    The first "motion picture" is a chiefly a milestone because it is the big screen translation of a classic piece of TV and Science-fiction history (I think about the life imitating art contributions every time I flip open my cel). As a movie alone, it is awkward. Star Trek II> The Wrath of Khan, best sets the bar for what all Star Trek features aspire to be. It has it all, including Ricardo. Star Trek III, is the best of the odd #s, but it works so seamlessly with II. and IV. that it's hard to complain, the Klingons return, Spock returns, what could be better. Star Trek IV., a lighter even number, features the crew's return to save the Earth, time-traveling to the present/80's, it's kinda Star Trek's take on SAVING THE WHALES. Star Trek V. is mostly forgettable, except for a few beautiful and moving moments of brilliance, like: "the death of Bone's father, meeting God and Campfire songs w/ Kirk & Spock. Star Trek VI., subtitled "The Uncovered Apology" (just kidding) is a fine wrap-up for the original crew dispite it plot holes. Star Trek Generations, is a poor introduction to the next generation of the Enterprise, it has Kirk's "Death(s)" in it, I wish they had stopped after one. The Next Gen. Character's are very cardboard in this-one, watered down for anyone new to the TV spin-off. Star Trek:First Contact may be the best of all Ten movies, it reintroduces the Borg menace with a intense roller-coaster ride. The odd-numbered follow-up, Star Trek Insurrection, earns it's number, while the even-numbered Star Trek: Nemesis ( or X.) is a decent action-flick with a clone captain that would have be more interesting as evil twin.

    UNLESS YOU WANT DIRECTOR'S EDITIONS OF ALL 10 MOVIES, THIS SET IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL CREW SET, THE NEXT GEN. SET OR BUYING ONE AT A TIME. I was plenty satisfied with the quality. This is a must own set for sci-fi / Star Trek fans.

    This set includes the 10 Star Trek feature films in two-disc letterbox special editions. The first two movies are the newly restored director's editions with commentary director Robert Wise, special photographic effects director Douglas Trumbull, special photographic effects supervisor John Dykstra, music composer Jerry Goldsmith, and actor Stephen Collins and both with extra footage contained within the feature itself (not just tucked away on a special features disc)!. Wrath of Khan includes Commentary by director Nicholas Meyer on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan with an Extended 116-minute director's edition of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Star Trek 3, the feature contains Commentary by director Leonard Nimoy, writer-producer Harve Bennett, director of photography Charles Correll, and actor Robin Curtis.     Noch nie war Star Trek schöner anzuschauen, als im glasklaren HD. Alle 10 Filme (Teile 1 bis 10 - Teil 11 nicht enthaltem!) wirken, als ob sie frisch gedreht wurden. Ton gut bis sehr gut, leider nur in Dolby Surround (Teil 1-4) bzw. DD 5.1 (Teil 5-10) stört mich aber nicht wirklich. Meiner Meinung nach dürfen ältere Filme durchauis auch etwas "älter" klingen.
    Da ich auch Teil 11 als Einzel Blu Ray und habe, denke ich durch aus eine Referenz Star Trek Blu Ray zu haben, um die Qualität beurteilen zu können..

    Seit heute nun besitze ich den UK-Import dieser Blu Ray Box (inkl. deutscher Tonspur). Ich habe in alle Filme reingeschaut und bin begeistert. Die gut verarbeitete Pappbox, welche jeden Film in einer separaten Bluray-Hülle und zusätzlich eine Doppelhülle inkl. 2 Bonus Discs enthält, eignet sich sehr gut als Blickfang in meinem Wohnzimmer. Und über den Preis gibt es erst recht nichts zu meckern.
    Mann bedenke:
    10 Discs für die Filme + 2 Discs für die Special Features für etwas mehr als 105,-€, d.h. weniger als 10,€ pro Disc. Für die deutsche Ausgabe bezahlt man doch einiges mehr.
    Zwar liegen alle 10 Filme "nur" als Kinoversion vor, aber dennoch hat es sich gelonht. Ich besitze noch eine ältere DVD-Box mit den 10 Filmen (teilweise in anderem Tonformat oder auch Directors Cut z.B. Star Trek - Der Film als DC in DD deutsch 5.1), aber vor allem die Bildqualität kann nicht einmal ansatzweise mit der Blu Ray Edition mithalten (speziell die ersten 4 Star Trek Filme haben in meiner "alten" DVD Edition ein grottenschlechtes Bild).
    Beim Ton wird es sicherlich die Soundfetichisten stören, das die Filme 1 bis 4 nur in Dolby Surround vorliegen, bzw der Rest nur in DD 5.1. Aber die werden sicherlich auch über die Bildqualität meckern. Aber die Deluxe-Trekkies werden sichelich ohnehin auf eine 4k(4faches HD)-Veröffentlichung warten.
    Für mich als Standard-Trekkie ist diese Blu Ray Edition ein Traum und erfüllt meine Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches.
    Möge sie lang und in Frieden ihren Dienst verrichten bis endlich auch Teil 12 in die Kinos kommt, welchen ich mir sicherlich ebenfalls als Blu Ray zulegen werde.

    Mein Urteil: volle 5 Sterne

    Star Trek is my favourite show of all time. The quality and clarity in these dvd's are superb. Star Trek is my fave show of all time and these are my fave films. To atart with the box is really nicely presented. It is quite big and has pictures on the sides and on one side, it has ships and descriptions/writing. The Dvd's are stacked inside in little slots which hold together nicely. These are all remastered dvd's (which means the picture quality and special effects have been improved/tweeked) and it contains all ten movies plus a special features dvd. It is also an amazing bargain in my view, and each dvd has the same shiny/sparkly layout, with differing pictures and contents. On each dvd, you get a play button, some special features, languages, subtitles and all the films play in wide or whatever you want (in great screen format) I have watched these movies loads of times over, even before I bought the set and i will now go through them one by one:

    The Motion Picture: This is the first one. And it is definately the worst. It was quite boring, it didn't really go anywhere and it was just slow. But there were some good moments. Like seeing all kirk's crew old and coming together again for the first time, spock's logic, the re-design of the enterprise (which i loved) and the special effects were magnificent. Just watching the effects makes it believable. But i must stress the director's cut because it was ot as boring but still slow. In this one there was no real character development, and no real character expression. Thew story was interseting and a bit wird and mind-bogling. It is remastered anyway, so fans of Trek will still enjoy it. i did. But its the worst. 5.6/10

    The Wrath of Khan: I can honestly say that this is one of the best movies of all time. Without a doubt it is the best of kirk's movies. There is great action, some comedy, it is thoughtful, well thought through, emotional and it had some really powerful scenes. It also staged a trilogy which is Trek's 2,3 and 4. amazing film and i have seen it loads of times. 10/10

    The Search for Spock: This is a really underrated Star Trek film. Of course, it isn't as good as Star Trek 2, but is still of very good quality. It is really fun and enjoyable, the best part was when Kirk steals the Enterprise. It has the action, the story and powerful moments. It shows how the crew will do anything to get their ex-officer back. 8.5/10

    The Voyage Home: This is good. A great plot, and it wasn't like standard Trek. It reminded me ofthe original series a bit too. I think this one would appeal to general audiences rather than just trek fans because it was basically about finding whales. That dosen't sound like much, but it was really nicely done. It was much more light-hearted and enjoyable. It was a fantastic film. Great stuff! 8.5/10

    The Final Frontier: This is the one that everyone hated and considered it the weakest in the Trek franchise. I disagree, i thought the Motion Picture was the worst. The Final Frontier is the one where the crew come face to face with a god-like being. It was daft and silly, quite stupid, but it was fun. Obviously, i didn't take it seriously. I went with it and it was an average film. The second worst on the set, don't plan on watching this one first, if i was you i would watch 2 first "The wrath of khan" to show you what Trek is really all about! 5.8/10

    The Undiscovered Country: I love this film, aand it is my second third favorite trek film, and my second favorite kirk film. It has a great plot and excellent twists. All the cast played great and it was a perfect send off for the original crew. Plus, the klingons were the best in this film. Outstanding! 9/10

    Generations: This one is the passing of the torch to the "Next Generation" crew. it has had some critisicm, but personally i loved this film. I guess it was hard trying to fit them all into it, but everyone wanted a cross over film in which cpatain's kirk and Picard would come together. It was slightly rushed and parts seemed confusing and flaws were obvious. But despite this, it was a unique idea using the nexus and it was very original. Partly the reason i loved this one so much is because i watched it a lot when i was a kid, and i always liked watching kirk and picard team up. The music was great in this too (particularly the overture) The premise was great and the film tried to tel you something. It my view, the film was trying to tell you about time, life and death. For example, it tells you that picard's newphew died, they were moving on from the original crew, the enterprise D gets destroyed, picards crew moves on amd Kirk dies. this is the only star trk moment that made me cry, because it was really emotional. Kirk was ace. Generations was good in my view, not the best, and not the worst. But it taught you something and had lots of memnorable quates, particuarly picard's at the end. It also had a great villain, good film. Generations has a perfect blend of comedy, action, sadness, story, quotes, and fun. 7/10

    First Contact: This is without a shade of doubt the best film in the box! This was a top-class movie. I could go on forever about this film, because only one trek film comes to mind when i think trek "First contact!" This is next gneneration at its pinnacle. It has the best borg represenation, it has the star trek nativity scene, it has a great story, it has perfect acting. Especially the acting of patrick stuart and that is saying a lot. There were strong lines, this was emotional and dark, at times very provoacative. This is the best trek film out there, and it is in my top ten films! Also, the music was fantastic, one of the best scores i have ever heard. 10/10

    Insurrection: I don't care what others say, because i really enjoyed Star Trek 9! I admit it does feel like an extended episode of TNG's tv series, but who cares! It has a great plot and story moments. It explores backstory and all sorts. The story was un-original which is why i didn't like it as much as Generations. This is reallt close behind Generations though. this one had great action and was really enjoyable. It is a very under-rated Trek film. this si definately another good one. Ignore what others say. 6.9/10

    Nemesis: And finally we reach the final trek film in this set. There are actually eleven out there, but star trek 2009 is nothing like the other ten, not saying its bad, its actually good. Nemesis however, is not good. This is my third least favorite. But i will say the effects in this film were great, along with the ship's and action. But this was more confusing than the other TNG films. My main gripes: firstly, the story (where is the explanation of stuff?) another is Data's death left you on a low, when you should have been coming out from this one with a shiny face. Its a bit like what happened on Generations with kirk, but he fit in with the purpose of the film. I think killing data was unesecary. Another gripe is the new enemies, like the remons came out of nowhere. This was silly, i never heard of them until this film. Something just didn't feel right and it was the worst of the TNG films. It had big banging explosions and not much else. 6/10

    So thanks for reading my reviews of the films, i will now outline the plots in short synopsis to give you a better idea of what you are getting:

    The Motion Picture - Kirk and his crew set out in the new enterprise to confront an alien lifeorm agressor- head on.

    The Wrath of Khan - Khan was abandoned on a planet by kirk fifteeen years ago in TOS episode "Space Seed" he now escapes and takes over a federation starship to steal project genesis (a powerful device) and goes for revenge on kirk and to plot his destuction of the enterprise

    The Search For spock - Kirk steals the enterprise and heads off to the planet genesis to save their crewmen spock, but klingons head there too, but for genesis.

    The Voyage Home - . The crew of the enterprise are branded as fugitives. An alien entity probes earth scanning for a life form that no longer exists. It was whales, so kirk and his cre go back in time to find some to save the future.

    The Final Frontier - A mad vulcan steals the enterprise and sets off toward the great barrier in space to search for a mthical planet where he believes "god" to be

    The Undiscovered Country - A lunar catalcysm brings the klingon empire to its knees, so peace with the federation is finally within reach. Kirk and crew will excort the klingons for negotiations, but in the course of doing so, they are implicated in the brutal assasination of the klingon chancellor. This brings both the klingons and federation to the brink of full scale war...

    Generations - A mad scientist trys to bring an enery ribbon close to him, but he must destroy worlds to do it. Kirk and Picard must work together to stop the geneside of an entire planet

    First Contact - the Borg go back in time to stop humnaity ever making first conatct with aliens so the borg can assimilate humanity. However, the neterprise intervenes and they will make a stand and fight to stop the borg, no matter what the cost.

    Insurrection - picard uncovers a plot my members of starfleet to take over a planet and to do away with the race. So, picard and the senior officers form a rebeliion/insurrection to go against starfllet and maintain the paradise of what's right.

    Nemesis - picard encounters the evil Shinzon who rules the planet remus and he has a destructive weapon, and Picard is involved in the middle of Shinzon's plot. The Enterprise confront them, head on.

    The special features dvd contains the captains's summit and star trek evoloutions. These are just round table evets of star trek cast (whoopi goldberg, patrick stuart, jonathan frakes, william shatner and leonard nimoy) this was quite funny, it also contains documentaries, some spoofs, interviews and in-the-making of star trek. there are also some special features on each dvd/film in the box. I would highly recommend you get this set and not the blu ray set because it looks really good and getting the blu-ray box is a rip off in my view. The dvd's are remastered anyway, they already look fine. plus the original movies are old and they will have grains in the transfer, plus they look fine on dvd. Just get the dvd version because it is a bargain. my price was 40 quid, the blu-ray is like 70! that is not worth it. I got this for christmas and it is the best set i have becuse star trek is my favorite thing, i always look up at the stars dreaming of what's out there and these films bring that dream to life. Also, i would not get the individual releases because they look really nice in a set like this, the box on the outside is amazing. If you are to get a blu-ray i would only get "Generations" because the transfer is suppose to be good, the rest are not much off an improvement on the dvd's and the originals are not good with the transfer.

    But guys, i must stress that you should buy this, becuause they are remastered man! they look amazing, and the films are great as you could tell from my individual film reviews of them. Now there are some more details you might want to be aware of, i will list them:

    The Wrath of Khan, First Contact and Nemesis are twelve's, so you might not want to show it to anyone below that age. they didn't scare me!

    They all have a white box at the bottom of each dvd explaining the content and formats and things. it has the languages of english french and german, it ha feature subtitles (english for hearing impaired, english, danish, dutch, finnish, french, german, norwegian and swedish. They have commentary subtitles for english, french and german. The aspect ratio is good and has anarmorphic widescrren, but you can change the features to suit your viewing, i like wide and auto best. They also have the company information like paramount, dolby, etc. All the films are in colour as shown by the shiny outside and each dvd has a feature running time to guide your viewing times. It has dolby digital surround sound. At the bottom of each dvd it has the cast names, just in case you wanted to know.

    Imprescindible colección que no debe faltar en la videoteca de los amantes de la Saga Star Trek. Confirmo que la «UK Edition» viene totalmente en castellano (algunas de ellas en 2.0 y otras en 5.1) además de contener todas ellas también subtitulos en castellano. Esta edición cuenta además con dos blu ray extra relativos a anécdotas de producción, así como de los actores. Muy recomendable y a muy buen precio. La calidad de imagen y de sonido, asombrosas.
